These tube fluorescents were designed in 1950, and manufactured from the 1960s-1980s by VEB Leuchtenbau Wittenberg.  Comprised of cast aluminum and a thick glass tube, these fixtures are explosion, dust, and water-proof. These were mostly used in East Germany, but we interestingly found these rare lights in an old factory outside of Moscow. The paint is completely original and the fixture has been re-wired with energy efficient ballasts and parts.
